consumer-alert recall roundup-web-gfxBETHESDA, Md. (Feb. 20, 2014) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling a handful of products this week due to the risk of injury and other hazards.

Among the items being recalled are specific models of LED flashlights, certain golf carts/club cars, and food dehydrators that had previously been recalled.  We also included a recall of Kawasaki dirt bikes that was announced late last week.

Below is information on this week’s recalls.

food dehydrator

LEM Products – 5-Tray Dehydrators with Digital Timers.  Damaged wiring in the food dehydrators can come into contact with a metal bracket inside the machine, posing a shock hazard.  Roughly 3,000 units are impacted.  This unit had already been recalled last year due to a burn hazard.  No injuries have been reported.  Click here for more information.

golf cart

Club Car – Precedent I2 golf and transport vehicles.  The hip restraint on the passenger side can fracture, posing a fall hazard.  About 1,800 units are impacted by the recall.  There has been one reported injury.  Click here for specific model information and contact details for the manufacturer.
