Power Outages Climb as Wind Speeds Intensify

consumersKENT COUNTY, Mich. (Feb. 21, 2014) — As winds picked up throughout West Michigan early Friday morning, the number of power outages also started to climb.

According to the Consumers Energy Live Outage Map, most of the outages were within Kent County as of 6:30 a.m.  Neighboring counties had a few dozen outages as well.

In the southern part of our viewing area, I & M Power was also showing issues on their own live outage map.
