Suspect in Custody after Teenager Shot in Head on Valentine’s Day

Muskegon Height Police Heights police carMUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich (February 21, 2014) – Muskegon Heights Police Chief Lynne Gill says an 18-year-old man is in custody after a teenager was shot in the head on Valentine’s Day.

The suspect was taken into custody around 10:00 a.m. Friday.  Police haven’t released his identity pending arraignment on charges of Assault with Intent to Murder.  The suspect is being lodged at the Muskegon County Jail.

The arrest follows a shooting in the area of Sherman and Jefferson Street on February 14th, when 17-year-0ld Demontae Crowley was shot in the head.  Investigators say Crowley is currently recovering from the injuries he sustained in the shooting.
