ProfileImageMUSKEGON, Mich. (Feb. 25, 2014) — A man was charged Monday with attempting to record someone in a Muskegon tanning booth.

Matthew David Brady, 37, was charged in Muskegon County District Court with capturing images of an unclothed person and lying to police.  Because he is being charged as a habitual offender, he faces a maximum 15-year sentence.

The alleged incident happened Feb. 18 at Archers Speed Queen Laundromat, 2179 E. Apple Ave., according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office.

Brady is a convicted sex offender and was on parole at the time of the alleged offense, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections website.

This is the second incident in Muskegon this month of someone being charged with trying to record people while they were in a tanning booth.   Trent Allen Jannenga, 25, was arrested and charged Feb. 14 after attempting to record naked women at the Planet Fitness on Henry Street where he worked.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Brady is not an employee at the business where he allegedly attempted to record people.

Officials believe there could be more victims that Brady recorded.  Anyone who has information on this incident is asked to contact Muskegon Township Police at 231-777-1666.

  • Spank mean all that touchy feely lovey dovey "rehabilitation" din't work ?
    say it isn't so…
I'm sure it was his parents fault anyway, they probably raised him as a male and never said "no"
Cuss its always some one else s fault .

His parents have nothing to do with this. He was raised right. Some people just have problems. Unless you know him or his family please keep accusation to yourself. He knows it is his fault and does not blame anyone but himself.

I am his brother and my parents raised us well. My brother knows his wrongs and so you all know they took his phone and there was not a single image of the so called victim on his phone or video. But just because he is a convict no matter what our great system locks him up again cause they need to so people feel better. I am not condoning anything he has done but I know he did not do this I know that. So please people look at our system and understand it sit back and look ur guilty before proven guilty in society now. So you know me and numerous others in my family have served this country proudly and still serving you for your freedom and it’s being takin from us everyday because of ignorant laws and rehabilitation for convicts that doesn’t work so thanks for the time I guess and my brother will be out again and he will live his life cause he has a family that loves him.
