Matthew David Brady, 37, was charged in Muskegon County District Court with capturing images of an unclothed person and lying to police.  Because he is being charged as a habitual offender, he faces a maximum 15-year sentence.

The alleged incident happened Feb. 18 at Archers Speed Queen Laundromat, 2179 E. Apple Ave., according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office.

Brady is a convicted sex offender and was on parole at the time of the alleged offense, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections website.

This is the second incident in Muskegon this month of someone being charged with trying to record people while they were in a tanning booth.   Trent Allen Jannenga, 25,was arrested and charged Feb. 14 after attempting to record naked women at the Planet Fitness on Henry Street where he worked.

According to the prosecutor’s office, Brady is not an employee at the business where he allegedly attempted to record people.

Officials believe there could be more victims that Brady recorded.  Anyone who has information on this incident is asked to contact Muskegon Township Police at 231-777-1666.
