Computer laptop womanTHE INTERNET (Feb. 26, 2014) — Job seekers in Michigan get an unusual chance to connect with prospective employers without leaving their homes.

The Michigan Virtual Career Fair is scheduled online February 26, May 21, August 27, and November 12. On each of those dates, a web site will serve as a career fair portal 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Job seekers must register through the web site and fill out a profile, including your resume and a photo. You will then be allowed to surf the site for participating companies you’re interested in, much the way you would visit company displays in person at a career fair. Employers are expected to post videos about their companies and opportunities, and virtual “booths” will give you a chance to chat with representatives.

Live presentations are planned for a “virtual auditorium,” and a “virtual lounge” will allow you to chat with participants.

I tried to do the on line thing but because I don't have a friend to refer I couldn't finish it so if you do have a friend to refer you won't be able to finish it.
