Messy Morning Commute Thursday

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Feb 26, 2014) — A winter storm warning remains in effect for the lakeshore counties until 3pm Thursday, while the rest of West Michigan is under a winter weather advisory.


This image shows the expected wind speeds and gusts on Thursday morning. In addition to the wind, there are a number of factors at play:

  • Gusty winds, producing subzero wind chills and near white-out conditions
  • Very cold temperatures
  • Accumulating snow

    Just wondering why??? we are not talking about WHY we are having the unusual weather this winter. if the artic ice and snow caps continue to melt at the rate they are is this going to be mi norm? i hear a lot of people going, oh this is normal, old enough to know it isn’t, dne some research, and ignorance isn’t bliss.
