Casino Worker Faces Federal Charges for Stealing Money

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich (February 28, 2014) – A worker at the Gun Lake Casino now faces charges for stealing money on at least two separate occasions.

An indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids shows Melanie Latrice King faces two counts of Theft by Employee of a Gaming Establishment.  One charge is for less than $1,000, another is for more than $1,000.

The alleged incidents occurred on or about August 28, 2011 and September 12, 2011.

The federal indictment filed Friday didn’t detail how King stole the money.
