Person Dies After A Car Collides With A Semi Truck

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (March 1st, 2014)-  A person has died after a crash Saturday morning in Montcalm County.

According to the Michigan State Police, a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am was travelling east on M-46 near Vestaburg Rd. when the driver lost control of the Pontiac and collided with a Kenworth semi-tractor and trailer. The driver of the Pontiac was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The road was snow covered at the time of the crash.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, but it believed that the driver of the Grand Am was not wearing a seat belt.

Michigan State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the them at (989) 352-8444.
