Grand Rapids Griffins To Face Iowa Wild In Purple Game For Cancer Research

griffins purple gameGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (March 7, 2014) — The Grand Rapids Griffins will wear purple uniforms to take on the Iowa Wild on Friday for the third Purple Community game to raise money for cancer and neurodegenerative disease research.

An exclusive ticket package called The Purple Pack is offered for $25 and includes a low bowl seat, a game t-shirt, and a chance to take a group photo on the ice with a Griffins player after the game.

Friday’s game is scheduled for 7 p.m. and also features $2 beers and $2 hot dogs.

The Griffins partnered with Van Andel Institute for the game, which takes place at Van Andel Arena. Proceeds from every Purple Pack sold will go toward cancer research at Van Andel Institute.
