Ski-A-Thon Raises Money For Honor Flight

Ski-A-ThonGOBLES, Mich. (March 8, 2014)- Timber Ridge Ski Area was open well past closing time last night for a good cause.

A Ski-A-Thon for Talons Out Honor Flight of South West Michigan was held last night at the ski area. Around 60 people came out for the event that raised $1,600 for the group according to Dan Moyle, Vice President of Honor Flight.

The money that was raised from this event will be able to send three more World War II veterans on a flight from Southwest Michigan to Washington D.C. to see the World War II Memorial.

Honor Flight hopes to raise about $13,000 for their May flight for veterans.
