Police: Woman Shot During Battle Creek Road Rage Incident

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (March 12, 2014) — A woman sustained non-life threatening injuries Wednesday after being shot during a road rage incident near Kellogg Community College.

According to police, the incident started near Beckley Road and M-66, but the shooting happened near Fremont Street and KCC Drive.

Police say a driver got out of their vehicle after forcing the second vehicle to stop.  A male passenger in the vehicle that was forced to stop opened fire, striking the female passenger in the other vehicle, according to police.

Two people were taken into custody, and the woman was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
