GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — (Mar. 13, 2014) After six months the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium re-opens to the public inside the Grand Rapids Public Museum. The Planetarium re-opens Saturday March 15th after a 1.2 million dollar renovation. The Planetarium will debut it’s new high definition Digistar projection with three new presentations: Dynamic Earth, The Little Star That Could and Violent Universe. All three presentations will be played with a special dedication film in honor of the Grand Rapids Astronaut who lost his life in the Apollo I accident.

The Museum opens at 9 AM Saturday but the first showing in the Planetarium will be the Little Star That Could at 11 AM. For a full list of showtime and information on the Grand Rapids Public Museum visit: http://www.grmuseum.org/planetarium
