031414FORECASTWEST MICHIGAN — (Mar. 14, 2014) A cold front will swing through today creating breezy conditions throughout the late afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will start to cool throughout the evening and overnight hours as much cooler air filters in behind the front dropping temperatures below average throughout the weekend.

Clouds will increase Friday night and winds will generally calm but a passing system could bring the slightest chance for light drizzle to develop Friday night. As temperatures drop it is quite possible that there could be a short period of freezing drizzle before a transition over to wet snow. No accumulations are expected and many areas may stay completely dry as the system will likely produce very light and patchy drizzle/flurries.

Temperatures will be chilly Saturday morning for St. Patrick’s Day parades and fun runs. Morning lows will start in the mid 20’s and slowly warm into the upper 20’s, low 30’s by late morning. A slight chance for a stray flurry will exist early but end by late morning.

Temperatures stay below average through the weekend making for a cool but quiet few days. Temperatures will rebound into the early part of the next work week with temperatures back into the 40’s by Tuesday.
