MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. – A man from the Detroit area caught an 18 pound Steelhead over the weekend on the Muskegon River.
Steelhead Charters, 350 Cihak St., North Muskegon, provided FOX 17 News this photograph showing the 34-inch long fish. To put that into perspective, an average Steelhead weighs between six and eight pounds, said Steelhead Charters. A large Steelhead weighs about 10 pounds.
Steelhead Charter’s Facebook page said, “(Here’s) Jim with one of the largest Steelhead we have seen in the last 10 years, on the way to the taxidermist to get weighed and measured.”
