Deputies: Paw Paw Man Arrested After Motorcycle Chase

generic police lightsANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. (March 30, 2014) — A 21-year-old Paw Paw man is facing a fleeing and eluding charge after officials say he led them on a high-speed chase Sunday afternoon.

According to Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, the chase happened at about 2:25 p.m. in the area of 64th Avenue and 32nd Street.  A deputy on patrol attempted to stop the man for speeding, and he fled.

The suspect eventually stopped when his motorcycle was running out of gas and not handling well at high speeds, according a release.

He will be identified pending his formal arraignment.
