ANN ARBOR, Mich. (April 2, 2014) — President Barack Obama spoke at the University of Michigan Wednesday about the need to increase the minimum wage.

“In America we do not believe in opportunity just for the few. We believe everyone has the chance for success,” he told the packed house at the Intramural Sports Building.

The President also mentioned that more than 100 years ago, Henry Ford doubled his workers’ wage so they could afford to buy the cars they were making.  He also touched on other topics, from student loan debt to the Affordable Care Act.

“It’s like Groundhog’s Day, but it’s not funny,” he said about constant attempts to repeal the health care law.
