GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (April 2, 2014)  — A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of Thursday for areas along and north of I-96 for the potential for some freezing rain, but I think problems will be minimal.

This image is from our in-house computer model, Future Track,  and doesn’t show much if any precipitation Thursday morning.  There is actually a better chance of rain, possibly heavy, on Thursday night and Friday. Temperatures by then should be above freezing across most of West Michigan, so icing problems should be minimal Friday morning as well.
