futureWEST MICHIGAN — (Apr. 6, 2014) Sunday finally starts to feel like spring as temperatures warm into the low to mid 50’s. Sunshine and light winds will make for a pleasant afternoon before rain chances return Monday. Clouds will be on the increase later today and tonight keeping temperatures fairly mild overnight.

Rain develops Monday after noon time and moves in from the southwest. Rain could become heavy at times as the system taps into a good moisture source. Some areas south of Interstate 96 could see between a half-inch to one inch of rain. Rain will start to taper off overnight Monday as the system moves off to the east. As temperatures fall overnight any left over rain showers may briefly turn to snow flurries.

A few left over rain/snow showers will end Tuesday morning and skies will clear. Afternoon highs will warm into the mid to upper 40’s making for a slightly cooler than average opening day for the West Michigan Whitecaps but the day will be fairly pleasant.

Temperatures warm through the rest of the week with highs reaching to 60 by Thursday.
