ON TAPE: 120 MPH Police Chase Through Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich., (April 7, 2014) —  FOX 17 has obtained the dash cam video of a high speed police chase that started on the side streets of Albion, before making its way onto I-94 in Calhoun County. Watch the video above to see how the chase finally ended.

The following information was provided by Albion Public Safety:

At approximately 2:00 AM Sunday morning, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked behind Biggby Coffee at 217 E. Michigan Ave. When officers approached the vehicle it fled from them. The officers chased the vehicle through side streets up to I-94 where the vehicle headed westbound. Officers were able to determine the vehicle had been reported stolen. Speeds on I-94 reached 120 mph as the vehicle fled westbound. Michigan State Police were able to deploy stop sticks near the 115 mile marker and both front wheels on the vehicle were flattened. The pursuit came to an end near the 115 mile marker after the vehicle struck a Michigan State Police car at a low rate of speed. Two juveniles were taken into custody. The driver was lodged at the Calhoun County Juvenile Home. The incident remains under investigation.
