CALEDONIA, Mich. — A teenage girl was airlifted with serious injuries after the bicycle she was riding was struck by a car Tuesday evening.
At 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car-bike accident at 100th Street and Alaska Court in Caledonia. Upon arriving at the scene, emergency personnel found a 14-year-old girl, who had been riding the bike, suffering from serious injuries.
100th Street was closed in both directions and at 7:08 p.m. the teen was transported by Aeromed helicopter to the hospital. No condition report was available Tuesday night.
The roadway later was reopened and the accident scene has been cleared.
