MUSKEGON, Mich. – A series of illnesses has prompted the Muskegon County Health Department to investigate why people became sick after eating at the restaurant.

The health department said it began receiving complaints from people who had recently eaten at Bonicki’s Restaurant and Sports Bistro, 1891 E. Apple Dr., Muskegon.

It is not clear what food caused people to fall ill, said the health department.  Officials are asking anyone who was sickened to contact them at 1-231-724-1202 or you can file a report HERE.

Muskegon County has become the third county in recent weeks to investigate illnesses connected to restaurants.  Earlier this week, the all clear was given for a restaurant in Holland Township to re-open.  A Grand Rapids restaurant also exposed people to Norovirus but has since been given the all-clear.
