GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (April 10, 2014) – The investigation into a shooting that took place on Grand Rapids northwest side continues tonight.
Investigators say a dog was shot and killed while a narcotics search warrant was being executed in the 900 block of 4th Street near Fremont Avenue.
Officials tell us the search warrant was part of an on-going investigation by the Kentwood Police Department. Grand Rapids officers assisted at the scene.
Details on what led up to the shooting are limited at this time. One person was taken into custody during the course of the investigation, but it’s unclear whether that individual will face charges.
No other injuries were reported.
