Prosecutor: Man Sentenced After Using Obscene, Sexual Language With Young Girl

Luis VaillancourtFRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (April 15, 2014) — A Fruitport Township man was sentenced to 15 days in jail after pleading guilty to using vulgar, sexual language with a 13-year-old girl, according to the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office.

Luis James Vaillancourt, 28, was also given one year of probation for the misdemeanor charge of using obscene language in the presence of children.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the man asked the girl obscene, sexually suggestive questions while driving her home Dec. 31, 2013 after she was babysitting.

The victim reported the incident several weeks after it happened, the prosecutor’s office said.  Fruitport Township investigators wrapped up their investigation in March.

Jail records show Vaillancourt was booked April 11.

The prosecutor’s office said this is the first time under the current administration that an adult has been charged with this obscene language misdemeanor.
