Deputies Seek Help Locating Juvenile Runaway

COLON TOWNSHIP, Mich (April 16, 2014) – Deputies with the St. Joesph County Sheriff’s Office are working to locate a teenager that’s been missing since Monday evening.

14-year-old Jessika Lashay Mathis reportedly ran away from the 59000 block of Pine Grove Road in Colon Township on April 14.

Investigators believe she may be with a sibling and has plans on leaving the state for the Tennessee area.  Deputies have focused their search in the 200 block of North Fourth Street, the 100 block of Vinewood Street and the 600 block of East Jerolene Street, all in the city of Sturgis.

Mathis is 5’3″, 105 lbs with blonde hair and hazel eyes.  She was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt and jeans.
