WHITE PIGEON, Mich. (April 16, 2014) – An Indiana woman is facing charges after authorities say she kidnapped her own daughter then led police on a wild chase into Michigan.

The whole thing was caught on dash cam video and was featured on Wednesday’s “The Nancy Grace Show.”

Aubrey Coy, 34, is facing seven felony charges – including possession of cocaine and child abuse.

“Indiana authorities pinged the phone of the mother, who was thought to have left the state with her child,” Michigan State Police Detective Todd Peterson said.

When MSP near White Pigeon in St. Joseph County finally caught up with Coy, she took off.

“She told (the officer) that he wasn`t going to take her child and began to pull away. That`s where the pursuit started,” Peterson told Nancy Grace on Wednesday.

In the dash cam video, you can see Coy unbuckle the young girl and pull her onto her lap – speeding away from cops on US-131 at 75 m.p.h.

Peterson says Coy was screaming at people as she passed – asking for help because the police were going to take her child.

Crews try to use stop sticks to end the chase, but they say Coy kept driving until the 1992 Buick blew a  pair of tires.

When the car finally stopped, Coy tried to run off with her daughter in her arms – fighting police for the child.

When troopers checked inside the car, they found a white powder they believe to be cocaine.

Coy is being held on $150,000 bail and will be in court next week.

Coy’s daughter wasn’t hurt and was taken into police custody while she waited to be picked up by relatives.
