GRANDVILLE, Mich. (April 18, 2014) — A fundraiser is planned to benefit a scholarship that has been created in memory of Ryan Fischer, who was a student at Grandville High School and the captain of the hockey team.
The event will be at Celebration Cinema inside the RiverTown Crossings mall in Grandville. There will be a showing of “Captain America: The Winter Solder”. Admission is $20 and includes the cost of the ticket, concessions, and a donation. $8 from every ticket will go toward funding the scholarship.
You can purchase your tickets online at Celebration Cinema’s website.
Fischer died in his sleep and was found on March 7; doctors say he had an enlarged heart. He was months away from starting at West Point Academy.
Fischer was laid to rest on March 12.
