A couple from the Stanton area called police after a run in with 46–year-old Lawrence Allen along Stanton Road near Grown Road just before 6:00 p.m.

The couple told deputies they pulled over to let Lawrence pass them after he’d been tailgating their vehicle.  That’s when the couple says Lawrence pulled over and got out of his vehicle with a tire iron.  The couple then continued down the roadway and Lawrence followed, passing them and then pulling onto the shoulder, pointing a gun at the couple as they passed him.

Deputies were called and stopped Lawrence, finding a pellet gun and illegal marijuana in his possession.

He’s been charged with Felony Assault, and additional charges for the marijuana may be pending.  Bond was set at $2,000.

Hard to believe the anti-gun lobby wants to outlaw self-defense, require you to run away, and give the criminal all the legal advantages…
    But its true.
They want you, the victim to be required by law to run away.
