GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (April 21, 2014) — Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney was in Grand Rapids on Monday to discuss his personal battle with heart disease.
Cheney was joined by the former White House chief of staff to President Gerald R. Ford and Cheney’s personal cardiologist, Dr. Jonathan Reiner.
Prior to speaking at the joint Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and Economic Club of Grand Rapids luncheon, Cheney and Reiner discussed Cheney’s personal 35-year battle with heart disease in a roundtable discussion with physicians and executives from Spectrum Health’s cardiovascular services.
