Convicted Murderer Michael Elliot Faces Arraignment Following Prison Escape

IONIA, Mich, (April 23, 2014) — Michael Elliot, a convicted murderer, is scheduled to be in court for arraignment on charges connected to his prison escape on Feb. 2.

Elliot escaped from the Ionia Correctional Facility and kidnapped a woman, making her drive him to Indiana, where he was eventually captured on Feb. 3. He faces escape, carjacking, and kidnapping charges.

At the time of his escape, Elliot was serving a life sentence for four murders he committed in the ’90s.
