Detroit Lions 2014 Season Starts on Monday Night Football

lionsALLEN PARK, Mich. (Apr. 23, 2014) — The NFL released the full 2014 schedule Wednesday.

The Lions will open up the season at home on Monday Night Football hosting the New York Giants. It will be the first game for the Lions under new head coach Jim Caldwell.

The Lions will also travel to London on Oct. 26 to take on the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons are considered the home team.

The Lions will host the Chicago Bears in their annual Thanksgiving Day game. The entire schedule is as follows (home games in ALL CAPS):

  • Week 1: NEW YORK GIANTS, Sept. 8 @ 7:10 p.m. (ESPN) (Monday Night Football)
