Battle Creek Burglary Suspects Picked Up In Portage

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (April 26, 2014)- Four men are currently in the Calhoun County Jail after being arrested in connection to a break-in at a Sprint Store in Battle Creek.

According to the Battle Creek Police Department, a burglary alarm sounded around 5:30 a.m. at a Sprint Store in the 100 block of Columbia Ave. in Battle Creek. When officers arrived on scene they discovered that an unknown amount of suspects broke into the store and removed items from the store.

Two hours later, Portage Police contacted the Battle Creek Police Department and told them they have four males between the ages of 20 to 24 from the Sprint burglary on a traffic stop.

The four males and their vehicle were taken back to Battle Creek. Where Sprint store property was located in their possession. After a review of the store’s security video showed that some of the clothing on the suspects worn at the time of the traffic stop matched the clothing worn by subjects during the break in.

The four males were arrested and are currently being held at the Calhoun County Jail on Breaking and entering charges.
