From Markets to Museums: Fun Weekend in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 2, 2014) — Some local favorites are returning to the Grand Rapids area along with some new ones to make for a fun weekend.

Downtown Market: The Outdoor Market opens for the season at 9 a.m. on May 3. There are 52 outdoor stalls with more than 30 vendors and will feature produce, breads, flowers, etc.

Fulton Street Farmers Market: The farmers market will open for the season at 8 a.m. on May 3. It will run until 3 p.m. and is open Tuesday – Saturday.

Museum Free 4 All: On May 4, the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Public Museum, Presidential Museum, and Children’s Museum will all offer free general admission. There will also be shuttle rides to and from each museum, and Amway will host fun activities.

Elk Brewing: The local brewery has its grand opening at 11 a.m. on May 2. They are located at 700 Wealthy St. SE.
