Two Vehicle Accident Leads To One Vehicle Being Hit By A Train

Train CrashGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 3, 2014)- A train collided with a car that was sitting on the tracks after a separate accident Saturday afternoon.

According to Grand Rapids Police at the scene, a car traveling northbound on Seward NW clipped a vehicle traveling eastbound on 11th street, spinning that vehicle out and leaving it on the tracks.

Then a train passing through Grand Rapids, struck the vehicle that was on the tracks. One one was inside the vehicle when it was struck by the train.

No injuries have been reported.

The Grand Rapids Police Department is still investigating this crash.
