Police Arrest Bank Robbery Suspect Thanks to Viewer Tips

bank robbery suspectWALKER, Mich. (May 7, 2014) — Police in Walker are crediting tips from the public in leading to the arrest of a suspected bank robber early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened Tuesday evening at the Chase Bank inside the Meijer on Alpine Avenue.  Police were able to release one blurry image of the suspect.

Once the image aired on local media outlets, officers acted on tips and were able to make an arrest.  The suspect’s name and location of his arrest have not been made public at this time.

The FBI and Michigan State Police are assisting in the investigation.
