Small Hail and Power Outages After Early-Morning Storms Push Through

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (May 7, 2014) — Thousands of people are dealing with power outages in parts of West Michigan, after thunderstorms rolled through early Wednesday morning.

The largest outage as of 5:30 a.m. was happening in the area just west of Reeds Lake in Grand Rapids/East Grand Rapids.  Over 4,000 Consumers Energy customers were expected to be in the dark until power is restored shortly after 8:00 a.m. (estimated).  To stay up to speed on the latest outages in West Michigan, you may want to add the Consumers Energy Outage Map into your bookmarks.
