GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (May 9, 2014) — It was a horrible story of animal cruelty that made headlines: a stray cat shot through the head with an arrow.

That was May of 2011.  Now three years later, the little cat named ‘Bow’ is doing great.

Stray no more, he now lives with Carol Manos, founder of Carol’s Ferals a non-profit dedicated to the ‘Trap Neuter Release” program for spaying and neutering homeless cats.

Since he spent his first 8 years of life outdoors and without a home, Bow isn’t the type to lay on your lap and seek attention, but that’s okay with Manos.  She says she’s fine with him doing whatever he wants – as long as he’s safe and happy hanging out with her other feline family members.

A reward was offered to help find the person who shot the cat, but no suspect was ever located.
