051714rainWEST MICHIGAN — (May 17, 2014) Mostly clear skies allowed temperatures overnight to drop into the low 30’s in some areas but cloud cover moved in after sunrise bringing light rain showers to West Michigan. Rain will move east today and stay fairly light and scattered but temperatures will remain below average once again today.

Temperatures will continue to slowly climb into the upper 50’s and while that is quite a bit warmer than the last few days afternoon high temperatures will still be between 10 and 15 degrees below average. The warming trend continues as we head into Sunday as temperatures warm into the mid-60’s for afternoon highs but it will take until Monday for us to reach seasonably average. Dry conditions also return Sunday as we get a break in the rain shower activity until our next system moves in mid-week.
