tractor rolloverKENT COUNTY, Mich (May 23, 2014) – A man injured after the tractor he was driving rolled over on top of him on a northern Kent County road Friday evening is expected to survive.

Deputies at the scene tell FOX17 the man in his 40’s was northbound on 16 Mile Road just north of Macclain Street when he lost control of the tractor he was driving, veering into the southbound lanes.

Deputies believe the driver over corrected to gain control of the tractor, causing the front forks to hit the roadway, rolling the tractor on top of him.

Neighbors quickly drove another tractor to the scene to lift the tractor off the driver.  Deputies say the driver was rushed to the hospital with significant leg injuries, but is expected to survive.

Witnesses that helped the injured driver say he worked for Klackle Orchards in Greenville.
