Two Arrested After Kalamazoo Co. Armed Robbery

KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. (May 26, 2014) — Two Kalamazoo residents were arrested Monday after an armed robbery at EZ Mart, 8469 Stadium Dr.

Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the store at approximately 9:22 a.m., according to a release.   A store employee told officials that one suspect armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money.

That suspect fled to a nearby vehicle after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.  A short time later, police say they tracked the tw0 24-year-old suspects to the 3600 block of Stadium Drive.

A weapon and money were also recovered from the scene.  The suspects will be identified pending formal charges.
