CASS COUNTY, Mich. (June 1, 2014) – One man is injured after losing control of his motorcycle, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash happened Saturday just before 1:30 P.M. at the intersection of Robinson Road and Monette Street in Jefferson Township. Officials said 56-year-old Charles Everman was driving the motorcycle with 57-year-old passenger Jaci Everman, both of Grand Haven. When Charles was turning onto Monette Street that’s when deputies say he lost control of his bike and tipped over.

Charles was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by ambulance for treatment, while officials said Jaci did not need medical treatment.

Both Charles and Jaci were wearing helmets and authorities do not believe alcohol was a factor in this crash. The incident is under investigation.
