Posted

HASTINGS, Mich. (June 3, 2014) — After hearing reports of a possible drunk driver on M-37 on May 25, Hastings police responded to a crash report and found the driver in the car with his pants pulled down between his hips and his knees.

The man, Todd William Branch, 46, was arrested for a third offense of operating while under the influence, after a test showed a blood alcohol level of .17 percent.

The release from Hastings police did not explain why Branch had his pants pulled down.

Police earlier heard about a driver northbound on M-37 coming toward Hastings. The driver was reported to be driving all over the road and nearly causing accidents. The crash report came from a report that the vehicle had left the road the ended up in the parking lot at Cotant Farm Market.

That’s when they found Branch, who admitted to having been drinking and run over a sign.

Branch was jailed.
