MICHIGAN (June 4, 2014) — Michigan State Police troopers are seeking two suspects in at least three coin machine thefts around the state, including in West Michigan.

Troopers said in a release that on May 28 two male suspects robbed a coin machine at a car wash in Pere Marquette Township in Mason County.  The men stole several hundred dollars in quarters by using a device to cause an override in the machine.

A similar incident happened at a Lowell business days earlier, and several hundred dollars worth of quarters were also stolen.

On May 29, another car wash, this one in Grayling, had hundreds of dollars in coins stolen in a similar manner.  Then, the next day, police say two men went to a Walmart store in Gaylord and turned in over $2,000 worth of change.
