New $2.4 Million Grant to Fight Poverty in Kent County

linc genericGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 4, 2014) — LINC Community Revitalization, Inc. has received a grant worth more than $2 million from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to fight poverty in neighborhoods throughout Grand Rapids.

The money will help raise vulnerable children and their families out of poverty, especially in areas that are predominantly Latino and African-American. According to a news release, LINC will expand a model of capacity building, economic development, and community engagement in these areas.

The efforts that this grant is funding will start later in June and will continue until April 30, 2017.
