GRPD cruiser night

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 7, 2014)– All lanes are now open on I-196 after a roll-over crash.

The crash happened Saturday morning at around 10:50 a.m. when a car traveling southbound on I-196 rolled onto it’s right side. Firefighters extricated one of the people in the car. There appears to be no serious injuries according to GRPD.

If you are traveling in this direction, Southbound I-196 at Lake Michigan Drive is now open. Travelers experienced delays and backups at the time of the accident.

Police do not know what caused the crash. Victim information is not known at this time. Keep checking back for updates.
