WARRREN, Mich (June 15, 2014)- A library in Metro Detroit has been forced to shut down, after a bedbug was discovered there on June 7.
On Thursday, the City of Warren announced that emergency preventative actions were taking place at the Miller Branch as a result of the bug being found. Library workers are being trained to recognized bedbugs and to thoroughly inspect items when they’re returned from the public.
Warren’s mayor is now prohibiting the donations of used books to any city branch libraries, since bedbugs can easily hide in the bindings.
