Fire “Substantially Damages” Paw Paw Market

PAW PAW, Mich. (June 15, 2014) – A blaze broke out at Walt and Marie’s Country Market Saturday night and caused substantial damage, according to authorities.

Paw Paw Fire Department Fire Chief Jim DeGroff told Fox 17 News the fire started around 10 P.M. Saturday at the market located on the 44000 block of Red Arrow Highway. While the fire was damaging, DeGroff said much of the inside and some of the outside of the building was salvaged.

No injuries were reported and no one was inside the market at the time of the fire. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
