GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 15, 2014) — Teacher Mark McDonald from Reeths-Puffer H.S. has created an app to assist teachers in the event of an emergency. Called ‘Active Shelter‘, it keeps law enforcement in the loop if an active shooting situation is happening in a classroom by passing along the names of students, location of the classroom and whether or not the scene is clear of danger.
