GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 16, 2014) — Increased warmth and humidity will help to fuel several rounds of thunderstorms around the Great Lakes this week.
The first line of storms is likely to develop in the Plains and upper Midwest Monday afternoon, then move into parts of Michigan overnight Monday night and Tuesday morning.

A nearly stationary front will set up shop across the Great Lakes for much of the remainder of the week as well. If several rounds of storms move over the same locations, it will increase the chances for flooding.
