New Document Details Teenager’s Murder 25 Years Later

NEWAYGO COUNTY, Mich. – FOX 17 news obtained the probable cause affidavit in the case against two Newaygo County brothers accused in the murder of a teenager 25 years ago.

Shannon Siders’ disappeared in July 1989; her body was found three months later in the Manistee National Forest.  Investigators determined she was murdered.

On Tuesday, investigators announced first degree murder charges for Matthew Jones, 44, of Grant, and his brother, Paul Jones, 42, of Newaygo, in the 25-year-old cold case murder of Shannon Siders, 18, of Newaygo.
